Editorial policy
Inspired Policy Review aims to make public policy easier to examine without presenting interpretation as certainty. Our editorial standards apply to explanatory work, reader contributions and material created with partners.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable material available to us, and distinguish established facts from interpretation, uncertainty or an argument made by others. We explain specialist terms in context and avoid implying that a stated aim guarantees an outcome.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for relevance to the publication's subject and readers. A partnership does not buy editorial approval, and commercial involvement does not determine our conclusions. Where a relationship could matter to a reader's understanding, we make it clear.
Corrections
If a reader identifies a factual error or unclear statement, we review it and correct material errors. We make the nature of a significant correction clear in the affected piece where appropriate. Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page.
Partner material and illustrations
Sponsored or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. We also identify illustrations that are AI-generated when they appear, and do not present them as documentary evidence.
A policy choice is also a choice of frame
The words used to define a problem shape the options that seem possible. We make those choices easier to notice, without prescribing a political position.
